Some Guestbook Comments

My memories go back to the 1950 when I was a small school going boy ( aged 8-9-10 ) Richard Veigas ( Achab for us ) was a college going boy who used to come to our house in Punjalkatte ( Dhota ) during festival time, mostly on Christmas night with his brothers and friends. They used to have a couple of drinks , sing carols with drum ad guitar and return to Mangalore before day break. There was a break in his visits when he completed graduation and went to Mumbai in the late 50s and was back again with his beautiful wife in 1960. The couple were part of our family in every celebration, every trouble/problem or need until the 70s when they chose to move to Dubai. Both, Achab and Bullu Voni, treated us all brothers and a sister, as their own. One of our brother ( Stany ) did his two year education at St Aloysius College (1960-62) staying with them at Mangalore (Marnamikatte) house. Their care, love and affection is fresh in mind and heart even after 50 years of absence. Achab and Bullu Voni shall never be forgotten.

Dear Ashley, Bina, Rodney, Priya, Vivek and their respective spouses and children. Thank you for sharing your intimate though painful moments with us at the passing away of your parents. By letting us into your lives and hearts, we too share the pain, and hope that our presence, thoughts and prayers will enable you to go through this time of grief, with the comfort that only our Lord can provide. It was great that most of you could spend some close and caring moments with Uncle and Aunty before they passed on. The presence of children at the hour of need, I think is the biggest gift that you could give them. They loved and cared for you from the time of birth, and you have shown the same, not just through the various phases of their life, but even in the hour of death, which I am sure you too consider a great privilege. May the God of peace and comfort strengthen your hearts. We love you and continue to pray for all of you.

To Ashley, Bina, Rodney, Priya & Vivek, There are close couples and not-so-close couples all around us, but seldom have we witnessed a couple quite as remarkable and loving towards each other as your dear parents. They passed away as they had lived, always together, always there for and with each other. Having done together what they were on this earth to do, to live exemplary lives and raise a loving and close-knit family, they are now together in a much happier place. Heaven was made for people such as these. As much as this is a time to mourn their passing, it is a time to celebrate the time they spent together, with all of you and all those who they loved and whose lives they touched. We know their souls will now forever be with The Lord. With you in spirit at this sad time, Colleen, Sushil & Julian D'souza

Dear Ashley, Bina, Rodney, Priya and Vivek May and I were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of both dad and mum. Your dad, Victor Menezes and I were inseparable friends as teenagers. When we moved to Bombay we became the "band of 5". When your dad married your mum we his friends were convinced they were the "perfect match". May and I were very pleased to meet your mum and dad in person when we visited Mississauga in 2011 - we had not met each other for 40 long years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time and we you offer you our deepest sympathies. May their souls rest in peace. Walter and May D'Sa

Dear Ashley, Bina, Rodney, Priya, Vivek and all the extended family members. Please accept our deepest heartfelt condolences. It was a pleasure knowing your mom and dad for the last 12 years. We were fortunate to witness their love for each other. God fulfilled their heart's desire to depart from this earth together. We will miss them, miss their warm embrace and beautiful smile every time we visited them. We will cherish the wonderful memories of times spent together. May God Rest their beautiful souls in Peace. Yours in Grief Allen, Kanthi, Anzette and Abigail
